BK’s Gymnastics Receives National Excellence Awards at 2026 GCA Awards

Three BK’s Gymnastics Centre Managers also recognised as industry leaders, alongside national marketing award success

BK’s Gymnastics has been recognised on the national stage, receiving the National Excellence Award for Best Marketing at the 2026 Gymnastics Clubs Australia (GCA) Awards for its innovative Foundations for Sport marketing campaign.

The award-winning campaign positioned gymnastics as the foundation for all sports, highlighting the vital role gymnastics plays in developing children’s fundamental movement skills, confidence, coordination and physical literacy. Delivered as a national multi-channel campaign alongside local activations driven by centre teams, this campaign helped to educate parents on the long-term developmental benefits of gymnastics participation.

The campaign formed part of a broader organisation-wide focus on growth and customer experience. Alongside a strong focus on customer experience and growth in centres, BK’s Gymnastics achieved a 10 per cent year-on-year increase in new enrolments, demonstrating the impact of a coordinated national strategy and outstanding customer experience.

Belgravia Gymnastics Head of Marketing Maddison Fuhrmann said the campaign was created to position gymnastics as the foundation for all sports, helping parents understand that gymnastics isn’t just a sport in its own right, but one of the most powerful ways to develop the movement skills, confidence and physical literacy children need to succeed in sport and physical activity for life.

“When people think about gymnastics, they often picture flips, beams and medals. What they don’t always realise is that gymnastics teaches the skills that sit underneath almost every sport and physical activity a child will ever do,” Fuhrmann said.

“The idea behind this campaign was to tell our story in a way that parents could immediately relate to. Whether a child grows up to play football, netball, cricket, tennis or simply wants to be active and confident, gymnastics helps build the foundations that support all of those journeys.”

While the award recognised the campaign, it also highlighted the vital role Centre Managers and centre teams play in delivering outstanding programs, building strong community connections and driving the continued success of BK’s Gymnastics.

“Winning the award is wonderful recognition, but what’s even more rewarding is seeing more families discover the benefits of gymnastics. The campaign was one part of a much bigger effort across our centres and support office, and together those efforts contributed to a 10 per cent increase in new enrolments year-on-year,” Fuhrmann said.

“Every day, our centres create welcoming environments for families, deliver outstanding programs and help children build confidence through movement. Their commitment to providing a great experience for every member is what underpins the continued success and growth of BK’s Gymnastics, and they deserve enormous credit for that.”

The national marketing award capped off a successful evening for BK’s Gymnastics, which also celebrated the success of three Centre Managers who were recognised in the prestigious GCA 40 Under 40 Awards.

Nyssa, Centre Manager of BK’s Gymnastics Craigieburn and Footscray, Sammi, Centre Manager of BK’s Gymnastics Bayside and Noble Park, and Jac, Centre Manager of BK’s Gymnastics Bacchus Marsh, were all honoured for their contribution to the gymnastics industry and leadership within their communities.

BK’s Gymnastics National Operations Manager Peita Vincent said the recognition reflected the strength of leadership across the network.

“Nyssa, Sammi and Jac are the kind of leaders every organisation hopes to have. They are passionate, values-driven and deeply committed to creating positive experiences for children, families and their teams,” said Vincent.

“What makes this recognition particularly special is that each of them leads differently, but they all share the same commitment to excellence, continuous improvement and making a genuine difference in their local communities. We are incredibly proud to see them recognised among the industry’s emerging leaders.”

These achievements highlight the passion, expertise and commitment of the people across the BK’s Gymnastics network who continue to deliver exceptional experiences for children and families while advancing the sport of gymnastics throughout Australia.
