Australian Gymnastics Competitions and Gymnastics Future League Align Pathways to Strengthen Athlete Progression

In exciting news for Australian gymnasts, Australian Gymnastics Competitions (AGC) has announced a collaborative agreement with the Gymnastics Future League (GFL) aimed at strengthening athlete progression and development.

This partnership is designed to enhance the competitive experience for athletes, coaches and clubs across both platforms, enabling clearer and more connected pathways from GFL into AGC events as athletes progress through their gymnastics journey.

Through the agreement, AGC and GFL will share knowledge, insights and expertise, driving continual improvement in how competitions are delivered and contributing to stronger gymnastics pathways nationally. Importantly, the partnership allows for greater reinvestment into the sport, helping to unlock expanded local, regional, state, national and international opportunities for athletes and clubs in the years ahead.

GFL is owned and operated by Recreational Gymnastics Australia (RGA), which is part of the Belgravia Group. Belgravia Group Chairman and CEO Geoff Lord said aligning AGC and GFL pathways is an important and exciting step forward for the sport.

“By working together, we can create clearer progression opportunities for athletes while ensuring clubs and coaches are supported through consistent, high-quality competition experiences. This collaboration allows us to invest more meaningfully in the future of gymnastics and the athletes coming through our systems.”

AGC co-owner James Devlin said the partnership reflects a shared vision for sustainable growth and athlete development now and into the future.

“This collaboration between Australian Gymnastics Competitions and Gymnastics Future League is about strengthening the overall gymnastics pathway for athletes,” said Devlin.

“By aligning our competitions and working closely together, we can reduce fragmentation, create greater clarity for clubs and families, and ultimately deliver better outcomes for athletes as they progress through the sport.”

Both organisations see the partnership as a long-term commitment to collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement, with a shared focus on creating positive, accessible and aspirational pathways for gymnasts at every stage of their journey.

Further details regarding pathway alignment and upcoming opportunities will be shared with clubs and stakeholders in the coming months.
