Belgravia Group Powers National Gymnastics Growth: New BK’s Launches In Maitland
Belgravia Group, Australia’s leader in children’s activity brands, is accelerating its mission to get one million kids active every year with the opening of its first BK’s Gymnastics franchise in Maitland, NSW in January 2026. The new centre will be operated by GymbaROO Franchisee Renee Burgess, whose journey from parent to educator to multi-site owner highlights the growth opportunities within Belgravia’s expanding network.
This milestone follows Belgravia Group’s acquisition and rapid expansion of GymbaROO, which now operates 75 sites nationally, with 14 additional company-owned centres scheduled to open in Term 1, 2026. BK’s Gymnastics is also on a strong growth trajectory, having launched in 2019 with a single site, to now operating 16 centres across Australia.
Together BK’s Gymnastics and GymbaROO deliver high-quality programs to more than 21,000 children every week, fostering physical development and confidence across Australia. Geoff Lord, Chairman and CEO of Belgravia Group, said the upcoming Maitland launch reflected the group’s broader vision.
“GymbaROO’s success in franchising proved what’s possible, and BK’s Gymnastics is the next evolution, offering a proven model backed by resources, marketing, and operational support.
“Our goal is clear: get one million Australian kids active every year. Expanding BK’s Gymnastics means more communities will have access to exceptional programs that build confidence, coordination, and resilience. It’s about creating healthier futures for kids and supporting parents with trusted, research-based activities.”
Renee Burgess said her journey reflects the opportunities Belgravia Group offers to passionate educators and entrepreneurs.
“I started as a parent looking for the best start for my child. That passion grew into teaching GymbaROO classes, and led to the purchase of two GymbaROO centres. Now, with BK’s Gymnastics, I can offer families even more opportunities to build confidence and skills. It’s a dream to grow with a brand that shares my values.”
BK’s Gymnastics delivers recreational gymnastics programs designed to build confidence, coordination, and a lifelong love of movement. By expanding into new regions, Belgravia Group is ensuring families have greater access to affordable, high-quality programs that encourage physical literacy and social development.
This growth is part of Belgravia Group’s bold vision to create healthier futures for the next generation, complementing school and early learning with structured activities that help children develop essential motor skills and healthy habits that last a lifetime.
